The Scholarly Communication Department is committed to helping IU authors make their work openly available IU Libraries, in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, subsidizes open access publishing fees for authors and provides several publishing fee discounts. The Libraries can also help faculty demonstrate the impact of their work on their field using bibliometrics, among other indicators of quality and rigor. We believe that authors’ decisions about how to share their work is part of a larger movement to make scholarship more accessible to all.
